Poco is expected to expand its X series with a new smartphone for the Indian market. The Chinese smartphone maker has already started teasing Poco X5 Pro in, the phone is likely to launch in the country soon. However, ahead of its official launch, Poco X5 Pro has been spotted in the hands of a popular Indian cricketer, Hardik Pandayawho is also the current skipper of the T20 team.
According to a report from GizmoChina, the smartphone model spotted with Pandya appears to be the Poco X5 Pro in the yellow variant. The report also shares some images showing Pandya using the phone and also calling from the X5 Pro. These images offer a clear view of the rear camera module of the upcoming phone.
Poco has already teased the new smartphone on the major e-retailer platform flip kart. Moreover, the phone is also being teased on AliExpress for the global markets. Apart from this, Poco has also announced a fan gathering for the launch of its new X-series smartphones in Delhi.

The report claims that the fan meeting will take place on January 22. This means that the device will probably be officially unveiled in the coming weeks.
Poco X5 Pro: expected specs
Previous rumors suggest that the X5 Pro 5G model is expected to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 12 Speed Edition, which launched in China in December 2022.
This smartphone is likely to have an IPS LCD display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and may be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G chipset that launched in November 2022.
The latest chipset is an updated version of the Snapdragon 778G+ and is also based on a 6nm node. Snapdragon 782G also claims to offer faster performance of both CPU and GPU over the older chipset.
For optics, the smartphone is expected to pack a 108 MP rear camera. The Poco X5 Pro is also rumored to pack a 5,000mAh battery that may support 67W fast charging.
