Netflix has revealed a first look at The Kissing Booth star Joey King in upcoming movie A Family Affair.
Also starring Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron and directed by Richard LaGravenese, the romantic comedy is set for a November 17 release.
The sneak peek in Netflix’s 2023 Films Preview trailer (below) shows Kidman and Efron’s characters hitting it off rather well – to the shock of King’s character.

The official description for the movie reads: “A surprising romance kicks off comic consequences for a young woman, her mother and her movie star boss as they face the complications of love, sex, and identity.”
An additional still shows Kidman’s character trying to calm down her daughter, played by King, while Efron’s womanising movie star character – who is also Zara’s former boss – nervously watches on.
Kathy Bates and Liza Koshy are among the other stars in the cast.

A Family Affair is part of Netflix’s November rollout, alongside David Fincher and Michael Fassbender’s action thriller The Killer.
Other movies featured in Netflix’s 2023 Films Preview trailer include Millie Bobby Brown’s Damsel, Zack Snyder’s sci-fi epic Rebel Moon, and Chris Evans and Emily Blunt’s Pain Hustlers, Gal Gadot’s spy thriller Heart of Stone.

A Family Affair falls under King’s highly lucrative Netflix deal, which was signed back in 2021.
“My relationship with Netflix started five years ago with me in a state of disbelief that I was getting to lead one of their first original [young adult] films,” she said at the time. “That feeling of amazement and disbelief of working with them has only grown.
“I am honoured to have a first-look deal with a company that changed my life and lifts me up in my journey in growing as a producer.”
A Family Affair premieres November 17 on Netflix.
